Very exciting -- very exciting for me and the family. We think that we definitely had the best horse in the race. Was hoping to get a good, clean race and he did.

It's a bittersweet experience. It's great to have a Derby contender named after you -- it will definitely put you on a high -- but knowing I am standing in the shoes of my friend takes the edge off a bit.

This is deeply emotional for all of us. (Mr. Hines) was one of those people who did everything he wanted to do. He had money … but he never had a horse in the Derby. I'll guarantee you that there will not be a dry eye in any of our boxes. The stars are aligning for us.

Jim always wanted to have a horse in the Derby. He never once said to me that he wanted to win the Kentucky Derby because he'd been so blessed in his life, he thought it would be asking for too much.
