If it doesn't rain much more over the next couple of months, we'll probably be in conservation-restriction mode by summer.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much rain we get. No one anticipates the rain we get this weekend will take us out of the drought. A week from now we'll still be in a drought.

We actually had pretty good rainfall the first three months, so if you think about just the past nine months, it's been exceptionally dry.

If there's one thing that strikes you when you look at both the state (organization) chart for governance and ours, it's how convoluted it is. This needs to be streamlined ... but we've got to have the confidence and the support of the campuses when we do that.

It needs to continue and it's not just a one-time event that is going to end the drought from last year. It needs to be a number of rain events over time.
