Chase Duncan lost his match last year by pin and this year, against the same kid, won 14-6. Not only did he win, but he turned it on at the end for another major decision.

Last year we won that tournament with an even younger team, but the competition this year was a lot stronger. And that's good. The stronger competition is only going to make us better ourselves.

No matter where I ask him to wrestle, he never complains. He just nods his head and goes out and does the job. And he's in such great shape, he wears people down.

That was a great win. Paz was a league champion last year.

I'm very, very pleased. Our goal today was to come in here and do the best we could, and we did that.

Chase is still learning. He's going to get better, and he's still got a great season going for him right now.

Two years ago, we had a dual season kind of like this and finished third at the league tournament. At this time of year, anything can happen.

We didn't get any No. 1 seeds, but we did very well. Our goal is to get all 11 of our kids to sub-sections, and I'd like to see a couple of league champions.

We'll be challenged by Colfax Wednesday, and West Campus is no gimme. This week will show us what we have.
