There are some days we play excellent, basically like a steel curtain. But we still have a lot of work to do.

They don't do that by accident. But at the same time, you have to be confident and know that your ability to play the game is what got you here, and that's what we're going to try to do, just play our game.

Whole towns shut down on Friday night for games. Every small town. I was born here in California. I know it isn't like that here.

Football is king in Texas, and I don't think anyone from anywhere else has any idea what that really means. I drive home sometimes through these small towns, and all you see is signs like 'Go, Buffalos' everywhere.

That was really the last thing we were looking forward to as far as the Rose Bowl and national championship go. It's kind of heavy, so I'll probably just wear it once in a while.
