"Robert Bowlby Blake" is a Canada/Canadian retired professional ice hockey player and the current assistant general manager of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was originally drafted by the Kings in 1988 NHL Entry Draft/1988, appearing in the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals, winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy and serving as team captain for five seasons in his initial 11-season stint with the club. In 2001, Blake was traded to the Colorado Avalanche and helped the team win their second Stanley Cup championship. This was also Blake's first and only time winning the Stanley Cup as a player, though he won the Cup again as a member of the Kings front office in 2014. After a two-season return to Los Angeles, Blake signed with the Sharks in 2008, retiring as its captain after the 2009–10 season. Four years later, in 2014, Blake was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Internationally, Blake played for Canada men's national ice hockey team/Team Canada in three consecutive Ice hockey at the Winter Olympics/Winter Olympics in 1998, 2002 and 2006, winning gold in 2002 and becoming the eleventh member of the Triple Gold Club.

This team in the past hasn't taken advantage of some of the leads we've had in a series. So we have to force the issue, not sit and wait and see what's going to happen. (The Stars) are a veteran team with guys who have won Cups and their best game is going to be (tonight).

They're a very veteran team. They understand they've been in the last two games. A bounce here or there and the games could have been different. Knowing that they have got guys that have been around a long time, had guys that have won Cups and guys with a lot of leadership, that's why we expect their best game.

You never want to give a team life - especially a team as good as Dallas. They've got some momentum now, but we've got a chance in the next game to take it away again.

But we have a lot of depth throughout our whole team. They put together a real legitimate team. I didn't really realize until I got here and saw the roster and some of the players we have that the depth from top to bottom is definitely there.

We weren't up to the task. They are right back in this series. Now we have to try and go back there and win a game in their building.

We knew they were going to give it their best. They have a lot of character and a lot of veterans over there. We weren't up to the task. They are right back in this series.

You never want to give a team life. We know how good they can be.

It's the same as any year when I've walked in here.

There's no replacing those two guys.
