The trick is to get sharp and get the season going. It takes a while to get momentum, but we have the experience and know we're capable.

We'd rather win (the doubles point) than lose it. But in the long run, it wasn't going to make the difference. Our girls came out firing in singles and took it upon themselves to keep it going.

To do what she has done and be arguably the best freshman in the country is fabulous. She has done an amazing job, and we feel super lucky as a program to have her.

Our conference is very tough. Any time you go on the road, it's difficult. I have a lot of respect for the teams (we played), but we came up with some really good wins.
