I'd like to win 1,000. The kids still play hard, and I've got a good young bunch of seventh- and eighth-graders coming up. I'll probably stay in it a few more years.

That's sort of the way it's been lately. Everybody seems to get a hit when we need it, and that's what we did tonight.

We've been expecting some of these kids to hit the long ball every once in a while.

The way we played, we were about the dumbest group we've ever put on the field here. Not to take anything away from Hamilton, they played well, but we didn't even play basic baseball.

We got the timely hits, and played pretty good defense tonight. Allen Roy met his quota on the mound, then Peter Vance did, and then Jason Howell.

They know what they're in for, and it overwhelms some of (the younger players). They've not quit, give this group credit.
