"Raymond John Funk" was a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Canadian House of Commons from Saskatchewan. He represented Prince Albert—Churchill River and was a member of the New Democratic Party (Canada)/New Democratic Party. Funk won his seat in the Canadian federal election, 1988/1988 election. He easily defeated Progressive Conservative Party of Canada candidate J.J. Cennon with 17,915 votes (almost 9,000 more than Cennon).

As a politician, Funk was heavily involved in peace issues. Funk addressed the United Nations in 1990 on East Timor. He was only the second Canadian MP to do so. In 1993, Funk tabled C-414, a bill that would have established a "Peace Fund" for taxpayers who did not want their money going to the military. The bill "died on the order paper" when the House of Commons was dissolved two days before debate was set to begin on the bill.

Defensively, we came out and played with a lot of energy and effort. We pressured the ball a lot and that led to easy scores.

If we didn't get a three at that point, we probably needed a quick two.

I'm not sure how we won this one. Better to win ugly than lose pretty, I guess.

If we'd finished shots on some of our opportunities and made some more free throws, we'd have had some breathing room at the end. But we let some no-calls bother us and missed too many free throws until Seth hit those two big ones.

It's hard when you're ahead by a lot. It's hard to maintain intensity. But that's something I've always taught and we did a good job of that tonight.

The last three minutes we really turned it on. It's a tribute to our never-say-die attitude. We forced a few more turnovers and knocked down some shots. We hit some threes to shorten the margin a little bit.
