"Raymond 'Ray' Carter" is a former England/English footballer. He played in The Football League for Chester City F.C./Chester and Crewe Alexandra F.C./Crewe Alexandra during the 1970s.

Carter progressed through Chester's youth ranks to break into the first team ranks early in the 1971-72 in English football/1971–72 season at the same time as fellow homegrown talent Graham Futcher as the youth policy under Cliff Sear began to pay dividends. He spent three years involved in the first team in midfielder (football)/midfield without scoring.

In July 1974, Carter switched to Crewe Alexandra F.C./Crewe Alexandra, where he played for one season before dropping into non–league football with Bangor City F.C./Bangor City. Appropriately his final Football League appearance for Crewe came against Chester on the final day of the 1974-75 in English football/1974–75 season, when Chester's 1–0 win at Gresty Road was ultimately enough to secure them promotion.

He feels awful about what happened. The great lesson is, always assume your mike is open, even when you're not on camera.

We intend on doing a local newscast with local talent. If we were to have commentary, it would be local commentary.

This just seemed natural, with the devastation in the South, to do that once again. I don't know that this will be a habit ... but given the gravity of the tsunami and the scope of damage in New Orleans, I think that's why we jumped into the fray and decided to team up.

This should be a fun fight. We look forward to meeting (UPN) on the broadcast stage.

We hope the complex will be ready for occupancy by the fall of 2007.

It reminds me of the Middle East countries the way they are now with the destruction. It's a mini war zone with fighter jets flying over and police all over. I've been a police officer for 20 years, and I have never seen anything like this.

You can't get any vehicles to come into the city, and we can't get any out.

This is a terrific opportunity for (WPXI) a great chance to extend our brand to people who ordinarily watch another channel.
