The township received the administrative order on Wednesday and has provided the solicitor, engineer and management system with copies for review and comment. A meeting to discuss this issue will be scheduled in the near future.

Releasing such a statement to the media (on Tuesday) before the township even had a chance to see the documents in question showed a distinct lack of courtesy and respect by the department. Creating media frenzy did not serve anyone's best interest and undermined efforts for good faith discussions based on preparation, planning and good sound scientific advice.

It has never been a question that this area should be served by sanitary sewers but as the 1994 Act 537 plan approved by the DEP states this should happen when funding is available. We as supervisors have a desire to resolve the issues in a way that is most beneficial and cost effective.
