He tells us to get right alongside the head, so we do, and tie the rope off along the side with about 30, 40 feet of line.

I had to go hand-over-hand with that. It was very tiring.

When we got it in sight of the boat, HOLY SMOKES! It's a big halibut.

And I'm guessing it was up about halfway -- we were in about 250 feet of water --and it's starting to move a little bit. And the more we got it up, the more it started to show some activity.
