I didn't really expect to get five guys in the finals. I was pleased with that.

I thought he did well. He's a sophomore, and he does a good job at what he does. He has more potential, I would like to see him realize his full potential. I would have like to have seen him move on.

I think it's big [for the program]. His perseverance, and winning some matches [at state], that's big. Him being successful enough for other guys to get motivated.

I never understood why it's never come back to COS.

Part of the goal is getting here. The other is doing something once you are here, and he has to figure that out.

His goal is to place at state. That's not unreasonable. I think it's something that is within his grasps. If he pursues it and peaks here soon.

The hard part is that he's the only guy. When more than one guy goes [to the state tournament], they feed off each other.

It's great for the central area. We will have a place for our kids to wrestle locally that will be able to get exposure.
