Our guys off the bench came through with some big hits.

That was a big clutch hit from Mitch. Two-out hits are big. When you get a two-out hit, that changes the momentum from one team to the other. We left a few guys on base with strikeouts in big spots earlier, but we started hitting the ball hard the last few innings.

It was the key to the game for us to jump up early. I told the guys we needed to get out to a quick start, and we did it. The problem was we didn't hold them in the bottom half.

We executed much better. The top three guys in our order got everyone going. Jared (Mundt) and Mike (Lamb) both threw with much more poise and had hitters off-balance all game.
