Many people who buy a car can't afford what they're getting into. They don't do their homework and they don't look at the alternatives.

I think this is the biggest problem that I've ever seen with automobile manufacturers. I really believe it's the biggest problem GM has ever had.

Look at the trends. Where we all agree, that's your green light.

The way to fight is just simply send a registered letter or an e-mail (to GM). If your vehicle is not reasonably durable and has a mechanical defect, any judge on any bench -- small claims up to the Supreme Court of Canada -- can make that company pay.

The dealer has a good amount of leverage he can use with the factory to get goodwill consideration.
