We tried to get one inside on him. We thought we might have had a hole there but he made the adjustment.

Early on, there is more of a chance of me being in there early in a game and maybe a little more frequently. But that doesn't really change my approach. I think we're all still counting on [the starters] to find a way to pitch into the later-middle innings, so to speak.

I remember they had some big country boys and just enough speed to aggravate you.

It is clear, which makes it good searching conditions.

Some fans were on him pretty bad. When they (were) identified and taken out, the fans around them applauded. They didn't like it, either.

In years passed, maybe guys like me have been pushed out. If you're reasonable financially from a salary standpoint, maybe you can stick around. If you overprice yourself, maybe you can find yourself on the outside looking in.

On a team like this, I can be satisfied with that role. This team is capable of a lot of good things and they need a guy like that. It takes pressure off the starters if they're having a tough day and those late-inning relievers don't need to be in earlier. I'm hoping that I can be the glue between the cracks.
