Because we weren't under FEMA, we had more freedom to do things. They just set us up an area and started bringing patients to us. It was unbelievable.

We had planned on going down Thursday but got a call from [the Federal Emergency Management Agency] saying they really didn't want us. We knew some of the people from Emerson's who were already down there, and those guys said, 'Yeah, you're needed,' so we went down sort of independently of FEMA.
