The Conference is a forum for providing important veterans benefit information. The 2004 Conference resulted in women veterans receiving thousands of dollars in disability compensation and other benefits.
We didn't want to take any thing away from what New Orleans was doing. We didn't want New Orleans to feel like we were competing with them.

That is great news because this is kind of our make-or-break weekend for Mardi Gras this year.
On the second Sunday of Mardi Gras, we had the largest turnout for those parades that we had ever seen on a Sunday. This Fat Tuesday's parade drew one of the largest crowds we've ever seen on any Fat Tuesday.
These were benefits earned as result of their service and of which they were unaware of until they attended the 2004 Conference. The Conference is also a unique opportunity for building camaraderie among women veterans of all eras?World War II up through those returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
