"Patrick A. Perez" is an American professional golfer.

Perez was born in Phoenix, Arizona and is of Mexican American descent. He experienced his first PGA Tour victory in 2009 at the Bob Hope Classic. He has finished second twice.

His career high in the Official World Golf Ranking was 49th in 2009.

On January 22, 2009, Perez finished the first 36 holes of the Bob Hope Classic with a 124 (-20), the lowest score in PGA Tour history through two rounds, relative to par. The start set or tied several records, including tying the record for low score (124) in consecutive rounds. But on January 24, Steve Stricker broke the latter record of 124 with a 61-62 for 123 combined two rounds (third and fourth rounds). Perez went on to win the tournament by three strokes over John Merrick (golfer)/John Merrick, a win secured when Perez hit his second shot on the par 5 18th hole from 200 yards to 3 feet to win with a closing eagle for his first tour win.

I hadn't made one of those in a while. It just kind of snowballed and everything started going in.

It's not even close to PGA West. And the wind tunnel, it howls here. The greens are hard. The course is brand new, so it's not responsive to spin or anything. It's just completely different.

I said I'm going to change all this and I don't want any of this anymore. The only way to do it is have people see you play well.

It was just a sit down, look in the mirror and say, 'Quit doing this.' And that's it, just stick with it because it's embarrassing.

I'm really trying to work on first changing my reputation and having a huge attitude and bad temper and the whole thing. I think that's after the thing that happened with the Honda. I started to realize a little bit more how stupid it is and how embarrassing it is.

I'm really trying to work on changing my reputation (for) having a huge attitude and bad temper and the whole thing.

To grind back and birdie those holes into the wind and downwind and cross wind and then you have no wind on 18, to make a 6, it's just so beyond unacceptable, I can't believe it.

I can't wait to get to Bermuda Dunes tomorrow. I can't wait. I'm (angry) because of the 6 (to close the round). But in 20 minutes when I'm eating, I'll be just fine.

Terrible, compared to yesterday. That's about it. I've played four rounds this year, three have been in the wind and I've shot over par every time.
