If EADS took over Thales, they would have to find ways to hand off certain parts of the business as soon as possible. But getting that through Thales and the French state is especially difficult because in the end it's a dismantling of Thales.

It was a very good year, with both companies putting up quite strong order numbers. It's surprising that Airbus was able to beat Boeing for another year.

The deal looks interesting from a strategic point of view because the Spanish market offers stronger growth rates (than Germany).
