Previously, Holt was the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach of the 2008 USC Trojans football team/USC Trojans, and the head coach of the 2005 Idaho Vandals football team/Idaho Vandals from 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season/2004–2005 Idaho Vandals football team/05.
