They've opened their hearts to these people, and we've got to replenish them.

A lot of people will relocate here. They're not going back.

Some of these people are not going home. We have a number from New Orleans who lived in the Ninth Ward, and know they have nothing to go home to. Some have found jobs in our area and are looking for jobs. They're doing all the things they need to be doing to be part of our culture.

The can also think of someone that person would call if they could only make one phone call, then check with that person to see if they have heard from their loved ones.

By taking training now, they can be prepared when a disaster occurs to go and help, ... We need to get people trained as quickly as possible. And all of the classes are free, but people do need to register.

What it's going to do is stretch us thin, personnel-wise.

What we've been doing is providing them with the wherewithal until FEMA can kick in and they can make it long term.
