He's not ready yet. We're not going to play him until he's 100 percent.

He's looked good in practice, a little apprehensive at times. It will be nice to get Brandon back because we still have a long way to go. We're making too many mistakes and we're fortunate to be where we are right now.

We did a pretty good job moving the ball on offense. We really have to stop those turnovers, but credit Central Kitsap -- their kids played real well.

He's bigger, faster and stronger than just about anyone he matches up against.

Mays will play some at quarterback and so will Quinn Kelly. We were counting on (Weber) to be our starter. Hopefully, by the third or fourth game, he'll be back.

We're going to go slow and make sure he's ready.

Mays won't come off the field. He's not a pure passer, but he does OK.

He does a great job. The kids believe in him, they believe in the program. It all starts with Phil.

Those kids did a nice job. The kids up front stepped up and made it a little easier by opening up some holes. They're OK. If Brandon wasn't coming back, then that would be an option to go to (Mays). But we expect Brandon back to 100 percent in the next couple of weeks.
