We had to leave. Many people were carrying weapons and there were robberies. There had been a change in governments from communism to a democratic government. We left our country to come here because this country had good opportunities.

Communism was a very hard life for everybody. We were not allowed to listen to music from other countries. They did not want us to know about the outside world. If you were caught with foreign newspapers, you were sent to jail.
