"Michael P. Stapleton" is a Canadian retired National Hockey League hockey player who played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets (1972–96)/Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, Atlanta Thrashers, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. He is the son of former NHL defenceman and 1972 Summit Series Team Canada member Pat Stapleton (hockey)/Pat Stapleton. He is married to wife Laura and has two sons, Luke and Nick.

It was fantastic. To look up there (in the stands) and see all the white like that, it was a pretty cool thing. It only helps when the fans take an active role like that. The players can just sense that kind of atmosphere.
