We had the ball with two minutes to go and 70 yards to go and we had a shot to tie the game at least. We were very happy with the way our kids performed, but we need to be a little bit better on defense.

We were trailing by 13 points when our center Brook Crane went down with an elbow injury. We rallied and got to within three points, 26-23, before we were forced to foul and they made their shots.

After the third rally, Steve looked absolutely shattered, but that's the way he often looks.

He wasn't the best passer or runner, but he could lead that team. It just totally shocked our family to hear the news today. You hear about these soldiers getting killed and it's tragic in itself but this makes it hit home and you realize it's a war over there.

Most of those girls haven't played together much. They're young and it will take some more time playing together.

We were in position at the right time on defense but I don't think we always made that key play. We knew their backs were fast, and they certainly showed it.

We hit the mid-line a lot with Jared Kimmel up the middle and then we started hitting the rocket on the outside. We took advantage; the defensive ends were playing a little tight. We tried to get outside on them. We ran our rocket play - our quick sweep - and that really got us back into the game.

There could be some that extend into tomorrow. We will have crews that will work through the night.
