It was definitely a learning process. It was obviously the first time I was getting to play collegiate ball, but I had a great coach and great experience.

I have learned that you have to buckle down. I think in a way my injury taught me a lot about that. I also have very smart and supportive teammates. I've definitely learned a lot about maturity through all of this.

I was affected because I was thinking how I had worked so many years for that. I was thinking to myself how it was better than for it to happen in college, until...

I am ready because I think I missed that responsibility by being out my senior year in high school. I am one of the loudest ones out on the field and there's a lot of responsibility on me and Jamie [Komar].
