Trust me, man, I've been here four years and I felt like I've seen it all. We've played the cream of the crop every year, so I don't think we're afraid of this schedule. We should be excited about it.

This is a quality win for us. It's something that we need going into the Big Ten. It's something we can build on.

Me and Paul (Davis) and Shannon (Brown) have to play at another whole different level to where we can make up for the youngsters. (Tennessee Tech) got a lot of second-chance points (in the first half). We turned the ball over too much and they got a lot of easy baskets.

A lot of times we played right into their hands. I feel if I would have played halfway decent we would have come out with the victory.

I couldn't really hear him at the end because I was so involved in the game. But when I looked up, I saw him and when I could hear him, I listened.

Beating a ranked team at their crib, that's huge. For this Big Ten race, that's something that we need. As a team, we have confidence we can win on the road now. It's huge. That's all I can say.

I think we took a good step. Illinois played the same team (winning 61-42). And in the back of our minds, we were measuring ourselves against them. One of the reasons I came back as a senior was to win a Big Ten championship.

We've got to get Paul Davis going. Once we get him going, that's going to open up a lot of things on the outside. That's the best way to play, inside out. Right now, neither of us is playing to our capabilities. We're the seniors. We've got to lead this team. The young guys look to us. If we're not playing well, we're not going to win.

I want it real bad. And I'm gonna do whatever it takes for us to get it this year. Nothing else is more important at this point of the year.
