We made some bad defensive mistakes. We got caught flat-footed early on. At times, though, we were dominant.

Paul has been a nice surprise. He grew up playing goalie and brings a lot of experience.

I thought we were going to be a lot better. I think the kids thought we were going to be a lot better. It just didn't happen.

He's added some stability in the middle of the field. I have him playing sometimes at center mid and sometimes at stopper. He's played well and wins the ball in the air on 50-50 balls well.

From his position, he doesn't always get the assist. But he's good at getting the ball and getting it around the back and reversing sides of the field with it. His job is to get it into the offensive third.

We gave up that bad one right before the half, and that one killed us pretty much. We weren't playing that bad. Defensively, we got sucked to the ball a couple times and didn't stay with people, and that's how they got the other two goals.

We just had some bad defensive mistakes and were caught flat a few times and gave up a few goals. I thought we actually played better throughout the game and dominated parts of it but we can't give up bad goals and win and not score.

After Kyle got hurt a couple of games ago we put Guzman at sweeper and he has done such a good job that we are going to keep him there. Though he has been playing right back for two years, Derek is our best decision maker at sweeper.

Things didn't work (Thursday), and when we did get some opportunities, we kicked it wide, or we hit the post once. It's pretty much the story of the season. We didn't get the right breaks here and there, and nothing went well.
