"Mary Wise", née "Mary Fischl", is an American college volleyball coach, former player and author. Wise is the current head coach of the Florida Gators women's volleyball team of the University of Florida. In Wise's twenty-one seasons at Florida, her Gators teams have won over ninety percent of their matches, nineteen Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season championships, and twelve SEC tournament titles. The Gators have also made seven Final Four appearances in the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship/NCAA Tournament, including an appearance in the 2003 NCAA Championship final.

This was a match against a team that has a chance to go to the Final Four. They have all the pieces and are the real deal. They might be a top-five team right now. We got beat by a better team today, but to come out of this tournament 2-1 - we're a much better team now than we were.

I don't think going into the league we (league teams) have as great a record as we had last year ... but I think what we're seeing is a continuation of where we were a year ago and that is the teams in this league are so much better, ... It's fair to say we're much improved from playing these three matches against three very different teams, ... I'm not sure we'll play an opponent as good at serve, pass and receive as UCSB for a while. For us to go toe-to-toe and out-dig them says a lot about where we are.
