I know every football coach in the state wants to see where his team's at.

Obviously the DeWitt game is big in terms of pride, and it's a great environment between two local rivals. But in terms of state standings, it's just an exhibition. We're 0-0 in the MAC right now, as is Davenport West.

The number of managers and the underlying cost structure gets to be very similar to a mutual fund.

I remember even in junior high school how great it was to play a big school like Clinton. This game is an exciting thing for both teams and both communities.

It is not an easy market to convince the populace that an arena deal actually works, and to make sense out of what everybody's receiving in the thing.

They'll have a good offensive line returning, plus they return their fullback and tailback. Their offense is similar to DeWitt's. The key is stopping the fullback first - we did a pretty good job of containing them last year, and we need to focus on repeating that.

We didn't do a very good job of executing in that game. We need to do better this time around. If we do that, we can compete.

For us it was about the little things. We talk about executing, and we did at times. Our defense was playing lights out. But, we didn't get the points we needed in the first half off all those opportunities. But, our kids showed guts and marched down the field to make it interesting. We just have to lick our wounds and fix our consistency.

It's been a good rivalry the past couple years with them.
