Since we're a northern team, it's hard to get teams to come here in February because of the weather. That's why we play in all these early-season tournaments.

Our hitters started off a little slow, we hadn't seen anything in a while, but our hitters came up with some big hits when they needed to.

We knew she could play. She was one of the highest recruited pitchers out of Arizona. She doesn't walk batters often, and she plays the field too.

I don't think we're that young. We have strong leadership from seniors like Jen Gardner and Katie Dean, and some of the freshmen are contributing already. We have a nice mix of youth and veterans.

It felt good to get back out there and play after having last week off. I'm pleased with the way we played.
