It was nice to see our guys come out and be the aggressor for a change instead of letting the other team take it to us.

After we lost to Taft (Tuesday) we talked about winning at least two of the last three game. We were able to do that, but it wasn't the manner in which we wanted to do it. We didn't come away from these last few games with as much momentum as we could have.

We played with them in spurts. That's something we talked about after the game. We have to be more consistent. In the next two days we have to focus on not being so up and down.

A game like this can help if our kids learn from it. We like to play this type of competition. But, our guys came out trying to feel them and we can't do that. They took it right to us and if you don't put up a fight a team like this can run you into the ground.

We can't afford to go out and not compete for 32 minutes. It doesn't matter who's out on the court. We had a let-down in the third quarter, and we were in too big of a hole to pull ourselves out of in the fourth quarter.

Taft is an outstanding basketball team. I can see why they're favored to win their section. Not only are they lightning quick, but they can shoot too.

I was more happy with the effort. I was happy with our focus. We eliminated some of the careless turnovers we were making.

At the point guard position, he's just so much stronger than everybody else. Even when he gets a guy on his hip, he can just carry him on his way to the basket. He's been pretty good at that all year, and he did it again today.

We came out early and we were able to establish our pressure and that led to some easy baskets. When that happens it usually leads to a lot of points.
