We sat our starters on Saturday and got them in the mood that defense is important again. We're a team that really relies on hard-nosed defense.

I think the lessons we learned this weekend were great, even though we didn't win.

Playing on the road, I was very tickled.

In the second half, we played some pretty stifling defense.

He pretty much had his way.

(Webb) blocked a shot and sent it back into the stands after play had already stopped on a personal foul. It was an accident; he didn't mean to do it. But the call on him really fired our crowd up, which got us going.

I'm glad we could help them out with that.

This is definitely a confidence booster for us. And, of course, it's always great to win on homecoming.
