"Lyall Norman Gorman" is the Group CEO of the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. His appointment to the Sharks on 25 November 2014 follows a tumultuous period for the Sharks after two years of ASADA investigations and the 2014 Wooden Spoon.

Gorman is the former Executive Chairman of A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers FC, appointed in the position on 17 May 2012. He was previously the head of the A-League competition itself, as well as the Chairman of Central Coast Mariners FC.

This is the Coast's only national sporting team and it will be for a hell of a long time. Union and league have missed the boat and the people have connected with the Mariners.

As the season has progressed we have seen crowd attendances increase dramatically to where we are averaging almost 9000 people per game and the fact that we finished third at the end of the home-and-away season provided great exposure and excitement for the fans for the final series.

We can't rest easy yet. Win or lose (today), we'll be back to work on Monday morning.
