Louis Farrakhan
FameRank: 6

"Louis Farrakhan Muhammad, Sr." is the leader of the religious group Nation of Islam (NOI). He served as the minister of major mosques in Boston and Harlem, and was appointed by the longtime NOI leader, Elijah Muhammad, as the National Representative of the Nation of Islam. After Warith Deen Muhammad disbanded the NOI and started the orthodox Islamic group American Society of Muslims, Farrakhan started rebuilding the NOI. In 1981 he revived the name Nation of Islam for his organization, previously known as Final Call, regaining many of the Nation of Islam's National properties including the NOI National Headquarters Mosque Maryam, reopening over 130 NOI mosques in America and the world. The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Farrakhan as Antisemitism/antisemitic and anti-white. Farrakhan himself, however, disputes this view of his ideology.

Anarchy may await America, due to the daily injustices suffered by the people.

As a result of that, America desires a moderate Islam; an Islam that America can control; an Islam that America can give direction to and give orders to its leaders.

I am hoping that in this year of the family we will go into our families and reconcile differences.

You must recognize that the way to get the good out of your brother and your sister is not to return evil for evil.

United we can solve our problems and divided we have nothing.

If someone has a difference with their mom, dad, their uncle, their cousin, their wife, their husband, children, with one another, go to that party and tell them why, give them a chance to acknowledge their wrong; give them a chance to confess it openly.

The Bush administration does not desire to see Islam practiced in its pristine purity.

I think that rather than condemning Islam, Islam needs to be studied by those who are sincere.

There's no one who has the right to judge you.
