This was our last chance to step up against a real good team and make a statement. This was a measuring stick for us going into the playoffs.

We knew that was their game. And we handled it well.

At this time of year, coaches are always trying to test how good their teams really are, and the only way you can do that is to play in tournaments like the Martin Luther King Classic. We're looking forward to playing Dillard because we know they're always a top team. It gives us all an indication of how other teams across the state are playing as well.

Our thing was we knew they had the size advantage and we wanted to get on their guards. We didn't want to allow them to have a free look inside to the post. It made it easier.

The great players have that type of attitude. He's so competitive. Corey believes in his ability. He loves the challenge.

This team went through some obstacles early. They thought we could just show up and win games. It was a good experience for them. I was never worried.

He's just like another Dwayne Collins. He can score on the inside, but he may actually be better from the perimeter. He can really shoot the ball, too.

It wasn't a matter of panicking. Going to Hawaii and experiencing that helped. The guys never lost faith in themselves. They kept believing in themselves.

The emphasis this week has been completing the job. Last year we talked about playing good defense, but we didn't complete it.
