Fortunately we shot the ball well, we shot the ball better as the game went along. We expect that. We have several good outside shooters.

At halftime, I told them if they score one more fast-break point on us, you?re going to run a suicide in practice tomorrow. I?m not being facetious -- they owe me two.

We went through a rough stretch and stayed composed. That?s a good sign.

Our defense improved in the second half. The defense slowed them down, and we just wore them down.

These kids play very well as a unit and they're beginning to look for other scoring opportunities on the floor. We're happy, but we know the toughest part of our schedule remains, including Friday. Hopefully we'll be right in the mix come the end of February.

The kids really stepped up. They played as one. All week long in practice we've been talking about playing as a team, creating shots for each other and making the extra pass.

Pina did a lot of driving to the basket but she can make the outside jump shot, too.

In the big picture it was one of 20, but I think the kids gained a lot of confidence beating a very good team. We have so many things on which to improve, we're pretty much on an even keel.

That?s pretty typical of Desiree. She?s pretty difficult to stop.
