Stacey Nelson has done an excellent job and she certainly hasn't pitched like a freshman. Our pitchers really showed some character. They kept us in the battle, which is a really good sign.

We just didn't get the clutch hits when we needed to, and we didn't play strong defense. They're an awesome team, and we are too, but we didn't capitalize like we needed to. It's a tough loss to get swept at your home field. You never want to do that.

We weren't surprised. Alabama is a really strong team, and they've been to the [College] World Series. We knew it was going to be a battle. It just didn't work out the way we wanted to.

Our bats weren't alive, and our hitters need to be more aggressive. Every loss is always a letdown, but it shows what you need to improve on. It's tough because it is SEC play, but we just move forward and need to get better.

It's a great opportunity to face the best of the best. We want to play against the best teams because that's how we're going to get better. You play a tough schedule, and there's nothing you're unprepared for.

It's all about clutch hitting. We haven't been giving up and that's a big difference from last year. We're going to fight all the way to the end, whether it's seven innings or 14.

It's tough to get swept on your home field. It's a real disappointment of a weekend.
