In this game we had a lot of opportunities to get on base. We'd get on with a walk or two, then get a hit and drive guys around. McEwan is a pretty young team and they weren't too deep on the mound. We took advantage of that.

We'd struggled early in the game and committed seven errors, so we opened the door for them to take it from us. About the fifth inning we kind of got things going with the bats.

David did really well the first couple innings keeping the ball down and keeping it in play. He got a little tired and Jonathan came in and gave us the opportunity to keep control of the game. I thought he did pretty well.

We had 10 errors and only gave up three earned runs. It was pretty bad. We didn't show up -- period. But I know the kids would bounce back and they did against Amity. They we were tentative and it was a different demeanor (Wednesday).

It was two different ball clubs (from Monday to Wednesday) and that was nice to see.

We controlled the game from the first pitch on pretty well. When they did they score, it was a situation where we walked a couple guys and had a bad read on a fly ball. We did what we had to do to win and the kids gained some confidence.

I just don't think our focus was there (on the game).

A lot of our kids had never played outside the valley before. This was an opportunity to play some teams we wouldn't necessarily play. Getting three (wins) of four is a pretty good step toward where we want to go.

I felt that our kids stuck with it offensively. They came up at the end and got the job done. They did what they were supposed to do.
