It made me mature a lot faster than I probably should have. I think I see things in a different perspective than most teen-agers.

It's easier to have friends over for longer periods of time, because my parents can't hear and they'll just go to bed. But if the music's too loud my dad will hear the vibration and come out and yell at us. But I don't take advantage of them.

My father has actually been very strict about it. He tells people, 'My child is not an interpreter.' I haven't done an insane amount of it, but I've definitely been put in situations where you really have to think about the consequences, like with my mom's surgery.
