With the nuclear deal, proliferation is out of the way. And for a change, the US is playing fair in its dealings with both India and Pakistan.

What is most surprising is the scale of the administration's efforts in selling the deal to Congress. The administration's active lobbying for the deal is quite unprecedented.

There is now no reason for the US and India not to trust each other.

It means access to technology and commerce that has been long been denied to India.

It was a watershed for Indian diplomacy and showed the maturity and confidence with which we negotiated with the world's only superpower.
