He was one of our top pitching recruits last year. He's had a few relief outings and struggled some. We know he has potential, but it's a mind thing with him. He needs to gain confidence at this level.
We have been swinging the bats pretty good. They are real short handed up there and they don't have a lot of pitching depth and we knew that going in.
He looked sharp tonight. We just wanted to see a couple other guys on the mound and lost it late.
We wanted to go with our starters as long as possible. It didn't quite work that way, but Brad came in and pitched real well.
We're playing well and have a lot of confidence right now. Last year we waited around for our big hitters to get things done. This year we're getting something from everybody.
(The win streak) is good to have early in the season. It is something to build on.
After the way things went (Thursday) we knew that they wouldn't be able to do a lot against those two. We got a chance to get some kids in that don't get a lot of time and then were really eager.
We're just trying to finalize a couple of positions. We're still looking for our fourth and fifth starter and for some setup guys in the bullpen.
Our guys like to play at home. We need to win our home games and try to split on the road.
