It's unfortunate but we do lose things occasionally on the space station. There are lots of nooks and crannies, and ... things don't stay where you put them. They float away.

We are certainly 'no go' now, but we are working very hard to be in a 'go' position.

When they heat treated it ... they got about 100 degrees hotter than they were supposed to get and because of that, it caused this change in the metal. You wouldn't want to hook one of these tethers to a piece of material you are not confident in.

We do lose things occasionally on board the space station. There are a lot of places. There are little nooks and crannies and oh by the way, things don't stay where you put them. They float away. You put them in a rack, but that doesn't mean it doesn't float behind something else.

We're in negotiations with our Russian partners. We're confident that as time progresses we'll be able to come to an agreement that's amenable to both us and the Russians.
