They came out gunning. I was really impressed with the way they played.

We did a good job of protecting the lead from there. The girls haven't had a chance to play the slow-down game much, but we have worked on it a lot. They executed well, and that gave us some good looks.

We played some good team ball in the second quarter. We were finding the open person and weren't afraid to take the open shot.

Defense set the tone; it's what did it last night (Friday night in Roaring Fork's 45-35 win over Cedaredge) and tonight. Everyone I put on the floor took their man to the one-on-one and said 'I challenge you to beat me' and for the most part they (the Bulldogs) choked. It was awesome.

It's nice when you play a team that you dominate on the boards. A little bit of height helps. We hit the boards pretty decently.

That really changes the complexion of a game, from winning it going away to letting them get back into it.

At times, she's been soft inside, but she got tough tonight, and the girls did a good job of getting the ball to her.

The girls decided they're not quite done being league champs. They believe in themselves right now, and defensively they're willing to take on anyone.

It was definitely a team effort. They all chipped in and contributed.
