He's incredible. He is by far the best skater out there today. In my opinion, he's the only guy who brought his 'A' game to this competition. It's great for our sport, it's great for speed skating in the U.S.

It's all about overcoming adversity. It's about being down and coming back.

The starter is really hurting people. You're supposed to be down for 1 1/2, 2 seconds at the most. When you're down for 2 1/2, 3 seconds, it's a tough position. I tripped up and it just got my timing off.

I think all the sports are everyone's favorites. Even sports like curling, where you need a certain skill but it's not physically demanding, people are really getting into it. The (U.S.) men got into the medals round and everyone was really excited and super supportive.

We've been traveling back and forth to Milwaukee. We need to be able to skate fast on slower ice or at lower altitude. Is it a big factor? Of course it is. That's why we're spending time there.
