I told the kids at the half that River Forest wanted the game more than we did and that we had to go back out there and take it away from them.

He's a special player. Not that he doesn't trust his teammates, but if there's a shot that needs to be taken under pressure, he's going to take it. He has the physical ability to take over a game.

Teams still have a hard time guarding him in the post. No one is stopping Matt. We just haven't had anybody else step up with the outside shooting.

I've coached him for four years, I've been here for nine years and I've been in coaching for 15 years and I've never been around a player who has worked harder than Matt. He plays every sport and in every game, every single practice, in the weight room, he is always trying to make himself better.
