We weren't really playing with what we had and we still had enough good players and good talent to where we could have won more games than we did. ... Making the rotation is my goal. Today I was able to get ahead of most of the hitters and that makes for short innings. That's been a problem for me the past few years.

I hadn't pitched in a game in a couple of weeks, and I didn't know where it was going. My mechanics were bad; I was rusty as could be. I just didn't have a good feel for the game. I could understand a little rust, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
