I had higher expectations and the kids had higher expectations, but realistically we had a lot of kids that were just playing their second year of varsity basketball.

I think the district is as wide open as it's ever been. Everybody has tapes on each other, so there's not much mystery. It will be a matter of who out-executes whom.

We talked at the end of last year and I told him he had the talent. He was our catalyst and deserved it.

We can look back at that and say the injury bug bit us a little, but that's why you have 15 guys on the team. When somebody goes down, other people have to step up and take the challenge.
