Kelly Greenberg
FameRank: 3

"Kelly Greenberg" was the Boston University Women's Basketball Head Coach until she resigned in 2014 amid charges of abusing players. Allegations that she mistreated players first surfaced in 2007 when the coach admitted she made some serious mistakes that she deeply regretted. When four players left the team and gave up their $60,000 per year scholarships in 2014, an internal investigation concluded that "the manner in which Coach Greenberg interacted with many of her players was incompatible with the expectations and standards for university employees, including our coaches."

Throughout her career, Greenberg's teams have claimed seven regular-season conference titles and seven conference tournament crowns. She has reached the NCAA tournament seven times as a coach, including twice during her five-year stint at Penn. Since 1993, all but one of her teams have either finished the regular-season in the top two spots in the league or have reached the conference title game.

When we play with energy, we can play with anyone. I don't need to get our players up. They're self-motivated and they should be. We just know that we need to go in there and play our game.

I don't get too caught up in what the previous year did or all the numbers. You talk about the things you can control, and going up to Vermont and bringing your 'A' effort and 'A' energy is what we have to do. We need to make sure we go in and do some damage.

When we really turned it on defensively and rebounded it really does create more confidence and we start scoring more.

I thought the shot at the buzzer was big for Katie. Not only for the team, but it gave her momentum like, 'Oh I can do that every time,' which, in the second half, I thought she did.

We need to focus on the things we can control. We know we're going to miss shots, but we have to rebound and we have to get defensive stops, and we just didn't do that tonight.

I don't think that's any reason or excuse for them to jump out on us. I don't think they're a better team than us, but it does fall into line that on any night, any team in our conference can beat any other.

The transition offense for them was perfect. They were getting a lot of rebounds and pushing [the ball], and that created a tempo that Ford is comfortable with. We just gave her opportunities to score.

I always say that we're as good as our last game and we're as good as our next game. Every game is so important. We went down to their place last year and they kicked our butts. They killed us.

And that's what we want, whether we're in practice against each other or we're in a game. I don't think any team is good enough to say 'Now we're going to turn it on.' You just have to bring it everyday.
