My mom really sparked my interest to learn early on. My parents are awesome. I got the best of both worlds. When my dad was in college, he was a big, grungy surfer dude, and he passed down his passion for water sports to me.

I do have personal pride. That's the one black mark. I'm not perfect, and it shows I have room to improve. It doesn't get at me at all. There are no hard feelings.

Teaching a class is great because I get to meet people I wouldn't otherwise meet. I'm building an emotional base.

I've always been intellectually curious. I love doing homework, and I try to learn and improve myself every day. Molecular genetic biology interests me because it's applicable to myself in that it deals with the human body.

I want to play Division I water polo. I don't really like swimming. It's kind of boring.
